Albinocyte is rarely used in the Medical Field. Leukocyte is the more commonly used Medical Terminology word used when referring to a White blood cell.

White blood cells or WBC main purposes are to fight off infection and aid in the healing process. 

The body's immune system relies on the power of WBCs to fight off Viruses & Bacterias such as Pneumonia, Influenza, H1N1, Strep Throat, and many more infectious diseases.
